How to get IT experience

Advice on how get a Job In IT

How do I get a job in IT without experience? I am a newcomer to IT but I dont have experience. Ive been obtaining certifications, yet I still havent gotten an IT job.

You have your MCSE, but no real experience, now what? Here's how to get the experience that you need to make your MCSE work for you.

Don't bang your head against a wall trying to gain experience from traditional employers. One of the best ways to gain experience is to seek out someone who works for themselves and offer your services at a very reasonable rate. Find an MCSE who does freelance work or has his or her own business and offer to do whatever grunt work that they may have on their next project for a very cheap price.

Remember you are only seeking experience here. You are not really looking to make a killing off of the job. You want the chance to become an MCSE sponge so that you can soak up the lingo and learn some of the practical skills that experienced MCSEs already have.

Whereas a traditional employer, such as a corporation or IT firm is not willing to take a chance on a green MCSE, a self employed MCSE will more likely give you a shot because you have something to offer, namely cheap labor.

Document your experiences as you work alongside your experienced freelance MCSE.
The next time you apply for a job with your MCSE credentials, traditional employers will take you more seriously, you will be able to converse fluently with them about all the real world applications of MCSE skills and you will both look and sound like you know what you are doing which is key to getting any job. Next thing you know you will be gainfully employed and hanging around the water cooler trading stories with your coworkers.

So think out of the box to get the experience you need to go with your MCSE certification !!!
